Luke Liu, Party Secretary & Chairman, Yunnan Tin Co., Ltd
Luke Liu is a seasoned leader in the global tin industry, with deep expertise in tin mining, non-ferrous metal smelting, and advanced tin processing. With decades of experience, he has focused on industry trend analysis, risk management, and corporate strategy, driving Yunnan Tin’s continued leadership in the sector.
Throughout his career, Mr. Liu has held senior positions across Yunnan Tin Group, including Deputy General Manager of Yunnan Tin Company Limited, Head of Capital Operations at Yunnan Tin Group, and Chairman of Yunnan Tin Group Logistics. His leadership combines strategic vision with extensive hands-on experience in production and operations, ensuring Yunnan Tin remains at the forefront of the global tin industry.

Joseph Miller is a Washington D.C. based strategic advisor focusing on strategic metals with over 20 years of experience. Joseph is the principal at Intra~Pax LLC where he advises primary and secondary strategic metals producers in the North America, Europe, Africa and Asia, with a focus on Tin, Tungsten and Antimony. He has 30 years working with the U.S. Government and is also an international law attorney with extensive experience in inter-governmental relations and resource management within Europe and Africa. He holds a Law Degree from the University of Baltimore in Maryland, a Master’s in Strategy and Policy from the United States Army War College, ,and a Master’s in Business Administration from Loyola University. Joseph is currently focused in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as a senior advisor to the Government of Saudi Arabia focusing on their Vision 2030 Transformation and their development of strategic industries.

Yifu Li, PhD, professor, doctoral supervisor, selected for Yunnan Province's "Xingdian Talent Support Program" . He graduated from Central South University with a major in metallurgical engineering in 2004, and obtained a master's degree and a doctorate degree from the School of Metallurgical and Energy Engineering of Kunming University of Science and Technology in 2008 and 2015. He has been engaged in the research of resource recycling and tin metallurgy for a long time, and has made breakthroughs in the condensation behavior of mixed metal vapors such as lead and arsenic and the vacuum separation of zinc-based alloys. The research results have been successfully applied to the comprehensive utilization of complex tin resources and the preparation of high-purity tin and zinc metals. He has presided over or participated in more than 10 national and provincial projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation, sub-projects of national key projects and Yunnan Science and Technology Plan; he has won 3 first prizes in Yunnan Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 first prize in Jiangxi Science and Technology Progress Award, 2 first prizes in China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association Science and Technology Award, 1 China Patent Excellence Award, 1 Innovation Achievement Award from the China Association for Promoting Industry-University-Research Cooperation, and guided students to win 1 first prize in the first National College Students' Metallurgical Science and Technology Competition; he has published 14 academic papers as the first author or corresponding author, including 10 papers included in SCI/EI, and obtained 10 national authorized patents (9 of which ranked first).

Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung currently serves as the Deputy General Director of VQB Minerals & Trading Group JSC (VQB Group), overseeing the company’s business operations.
Trained in international trade, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung joined VQB in 2007 and brings over 20 years of experience in the metal trading and commodity derivatives sector, with a strong focus on non-ferrous metals such as tin, antimony, copper, and products linked to the LME market.
With a strategic mindset, in-depth knowledge of global markets, and expertise in risk management through hedging tools, he has played a key role in establishing VQB’s strong presence in both domestic and international markets.

Graduated in metallurgy from the Polytechnic Faculty of Lubumbashi in DRC, I have experience in the mining industry having worked as a metallurgist in two hydrometallurgical plants. One in copper metallurgy and as a by-product, cobalt and the other in gold metallurgy. Then, I acquired strong managerial, administrative and analytical skills by having worked in various private and public companies. 

Currently, I am a Metallurgist Expert at the Department of Metallurgical Studies and Industrial Integration at the Technical Cell for Coordination and Mining Planning in acronym CTCPM, technical service of the Ministry of Mines and focal point of mining activities in the DRC.

Pu Xu, Master of Engineering and Senior Engineer, currently serves as the General Manager of Shenzhen Fuyingda Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. and is a member of the Tin Solder Technical Committee of the China Electronic Materials Association. For over two decades, he has been dedicated to the R&D of microelectronic solder materials, leading and participating in numerous significant national, province and city-level scientific and technological projects, and has obtained more than thirty domestic and overseas invention patents.

Jiaming Xue,  Deputy General Manager & Chief Researcher, Donghai Capital.
Mr. Xue has 13 years of experience in the futures industry, with degrees from Tsinghua University (Engineering) and Ulm University in Germany (Financial Mathematics). He specializes in industrial hedging and OTC risk management, with a strong track record of helping clients manage price volatility. His market research and training programs have been highly recognized by industrial clients.

Mr Smith graduated from Melbourne University, Australia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering with Honors. He has also obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Henley Management College, the United Kingdom and a Master’s Degree in Research Methodology from Macquarie University, Australia. Mr. Smith has participated in the development of a number of mining and mineral processing projects including coal, iron ore, base and precious metals. He has also managed engineering and construction companies in Australia and internationally.


Mr. Smith has served on the board of private mining and exploration companies and has over 32 years international experience in the engineering, construction and mineral processing businesses. Mr. Smith is Executive Director and Deputy Chairman of Hong Kong listed company APAC Resources Limited, Executive Director of Hong Kong listed company Dragon Mining Limited and a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed companies Prodigy Gold NL and Tanami Gold NL.
